Students from the Melrose Centre experience a 4 night stay in an outdoor activity centre in the Lake District. Pupils take part in activities such as canoeing, indoor climbing, abseiling, archery, low ropes, indoor and outdoor caving, night walks, campfire craft, zip wire and mountain biking. Pupils help to prepare their meals and have responsibility for all household chores during their stay at the Lodge. Pupils are supported by staff from the Melrose Centre and also the qualified instructors at Bendrigg Lodge. The trip is the week before October half term and has been going since October 2011.
