Longbenton High School Admissions

  • The school has a PAN (Planned Admission Number) of 180
    • This means that each year group can host a maximum number of 180 pupils
    • This number does not include the Sixth Form
    • The school therefore has space for 900 pupils in Year 7 through to Year 11
  • Longbenton High School currently has the following spaces on the school roll (updated 15th June 2026):-
    • Year 7: 0 spaces - a waiting list is in place as per the School Admissions Policy
    • Year 8: 1 space

  • The Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for determining the school’s admissions policy.
  • All North Tyneside Schools operate an equal preference system for processing parental preferences. In accordance with the Education Act 1996, children with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) are required to be admitted to the school named in the plan.
