On Saturday 8th June I had the pleasure of accompanying Ashton Proctor and Francesca Atherton-Brand to the County athletics championships in Hexham. Both students had qualified to represent North Tyneside a few weeks before in their respective events. Ashton competed in the triple jump, whilst Frankie was in both the long jump and 100m. They both performed extremely well in very windy conditions and can be proud of their achievements.
