Coffee and Cakes for Macmillan Morning
On Thursday 28th, September, Longbenton High School hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money and awareness for the Macmillan cancer charity. Altogether, £225.87 was raised.
This will go towards helping many people who suffer from cancer. The charity has raised over £2,000,000. Our food department made lots of different cakes and cake toppers to make the coffee morning a success. Staff and students at Longbenton High School made it a great morning. All ages attended the morning and especially enjoyed the cakes. The quickest selling item was the school technician, Mrs Hancock’s “funny face” cake toppers and her “cookie monster” cakes. Longbenton High School will be hosting another coffee morning next year, just as they have done the past two years.
