Huge congratulations are in order as the science technicians at Longbenton have won a prestigious national award for the fantastic work that they do in helping ensure the best science experience for the young people at Longbenton. Below is the text of the letter that broke the news.
SALTERS National Awards for Science Technicians 2016

We very much enjoyed our visit to Longbenton High School and having the chance to discuss your work with you. I am delighted to inform you that the Awarding Panel has selected you and your team to receive the first prize Award of £2000.
You and your team are invited to attend the Salters’ Institute Annual Awards Ceremony, which will be held at Salters’ Hall in London on Friday 9 December 2016. We will be sending more details of the Ceremony in due course.
We very much hope you and the team will be able to attend the Ceremony as it is one of the highlights of our year. It brings together the Winners of all our prizes including Graduates, Students, as well as Technicians.
