Seven Year 10 and seven Year 12 students came through a rigorous selection procedure to be part of an innovative scheme to increase student awareness in the great potential of studying science, maths and technology subjects at university.  One of them, Emma Ross, stated that “The Villiers Park Scholars Programme has really helped me to feel more comfortable thinking about the future. My mentor has helped me look into university courses, which I wouldn’t have done without her. We have also started to look at revision techniques together and how to organise my time the best way I can. It’s very beneficial.” Her story and that of the others was recently covered by the Chronicle.
