A group of KS3 girls have recently embarked on the challenge of getting more girls into football, through the Game of Our Own Leadership programme. This initiative is supported by Barclays and the Football Association. The girls have done a great job so far as 'football activators' and have already encouraged more girls to come along to our girls' football club after school on Wednesday afternoons. It is fantastic to see a group of such enthusiastic girls that are so passionate about football. Throughout the programme, they have talked openly about their experiences in the sport and have been role models for other girls around school. Their confidence continues to grow and their ability to influence others to take part in something new is evident. As part of the programme, the girls will be organising and hosting a girls' football event, held in school on Wednesday 23rd June. There will be more details about this to follow. Girls, you are doing a fantastic job - well done!
