Year 7 involved in champions cup and Year 9 remain unbeaten at the top of the league
As an ex-member of the school football team, I’ve heard from my ex-teammates that they are doing really well, so I decided to ask the manager of the team, Mr R Guy, for his opinions.
When asked about a general update, he said “In my opinion the school teams are performing the best they have in 10 years. I say this because the Year 7’s team won their league and the Year 9 team is sitting top of their league unbeaten.”
Mr Guy also told us “At this school, Longbenton Community College, everyone is proud of our sports teams doing well and we hope for this to continue into other competitions and other sports.”
As a student and keen sports fan, I feel that when the school teams are doing really well this need to be maintained, especially into the champions cup, and students from school are proud of their achievements.
