Students and staff at Longbenton High School enjoyed a fantastic form time today of walking (and running) as part of the North Tyneside Active Mile event. As a school, we place a significant emphasis on the emotional, physical and social well-being of our students; the opportunity to be outside as a collective and exercising in nature has so many positive effects for our learners. As such, this type of exercise is something we do on a regular basis but it felt even more impactful today as we were proud to be part of a wider initiative. A huge well done to everyone who took part; it certainly got the brain cells firing for the day ahead!
