Miss Dawson worked with girls from Years 7, 8 and 9 . Two students, Hollie Fox(Y7) and Laurie Smith (Y8) wrote about the event:

On Wednesday 23rd June, our small group of football activators from year 7, 8 and 9 ran a girls' football event in school. The planning for the event took place after school over about 6 weeks leading up to the event and the event lasted the whole day. The aim of the event was to get more girls involved in sport, in particular, football. During the day, we invited down all of the girls from year 7 and 8 to take on a variety of tasks, challenges and match play. We also organised and delivered an after-school event, open to all girls from year 7 and 8 to learn more in depth about football. There was a great turn-out for our football event considering there is only a small minority of girls who enjoy playing football outside of school. Overall, the event was a huge success and multiple girls said they would play football more often and even join clubs to get to a higher level. We, as football activators, also really enjoyed the day and are proud of all the girls who participated and put 100% effort into our sessions.
