A letter is being sent today (14.05.21) to all parents/carers regarding changes to face mask guidance from Monday 17th May.

In summary:

For staff:

Face coverings will no longer be recommended for staff in classrooms.  Face coverings should still be worn by staff and visitors in situations indoors, outside of classrooms and where social distancing is not possible (for example, when moving around in corridors and communal areas).

 For students:

Face coverings will no longer be recommended for students in classrooms or communal areas in all schools. Remember that for those using public transport, (e.g. the metro) face masks must still be worn when travelling. However, it remains optional for students who would feel more comfortable / safe to continue wearing face masks.

 For parents and visitors:

Face coverings should be worn by staff and visitors in situations indoors, outside of classrooms where social distancing is not possible (for example, when moving around in corridors and communal areas). Face coverings are not required outdoors.
