We have had another confirmed Covid case in Year 8 confirmed today - Monday 16th November. We do not have any reason to believe that this case is connected to our previous Year 8 case from last week and do not want parents/carers to be unduly alarmed.
We have worked closely with North Tyneside's public health team to carry out a full risk assessment this afternoon and identified all those in close contact with the affected case. Those students have been asked to self-isolate until either November 23rd or 25th depending on their last date of close contact; different students will have different return dates as a result.
If we have not contacted you directly to explain this, your child has not been identified as a close contact and therefore does not need to make any change to their usual routine, including school attendance.
