Student given contract with Football Academy!

To mark Tom Smith (one of our Year 11 students) being given a contract as part of Sunderland Football Club’s Academy the club presented the school with a signed first team shirt. Tom has been training with the club since being at Holystone Primary School and has been given a day off each week throughout his time at Longbenton to attend the Academy.  Tom is seen alongside his parents and Miss Lewins (an avid Sunderland fan) as well as Mr Quinn (an avid Newcastle fan).  We are all really proud of what Tom has achieved and wish him all of the best for his future. Needless to say we will all be following his progress very closely.
