In October 2019, Longbenton High School is running a brilliant and life-changing 9-day trip to China for Post 16 students. The trip will involve tours of key sites in and around Beijing (such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Imperial Forbidden City), experience of Chinese culture (such as visits to the Beijing Opera and traditional Chinese restaurants and tea houses) and a chance to study the political and educational system in China up close by spending time at LHS’ partner school, Tangshan No. 54 School. The trip has many important curriculum links and is an excellent opportunity for students to build their confidence and global cultural experience.
