Transition Project 2022: Be Awesome Go Big

Transition September 2022

We are pleased to be able to provide the following package of resources that can be used with your Year 6 child in readiness for them coming to Longbenton High School in September.

The package is designed to help Year 6 and you as parents, through this transition process.

‘Be Awesome, Go Big’ involves:

9 sessions for Year 6 with a workbook to complete and videos from Matthew Syed, Matthew Burton, Gemma Oaten and Jaz Ampaw-Farr.

These sessions focus on things such as:

Being Awesome
Unlocking Your Mind
Dare to Take Risks
Making The Change
Lost but Not Lost
'Bouncebackability'
What is Normal Anyway
Friendships and Fallouts
Living Well

There is a competition to enter, where they can win a Hachette booklist, and also a transition grid downloadable below (Getting Ready to Go Big) full of tasks and activities for them to complete - please send in your completed tasks!
